Are there affiliate links in here? Yes. Extra cost to you? No. I'm sharing this post because the CCA really did change my life and I want to spread the love!
Fangirl Moment: My Chat on the Build Your Copywriting Business Podcast
A few years ago, I stumbled across the Build Your Copywriting Business podcast while I was still working full-time. I became obsessed with listening to the student success stories.
In a nutshell, the episodes were from students who went through the Comprehensive Copywriting Academy (aka…the CCA), and carved out new professional careers that brought them real freedom, purpose and satisfaction. It was beyond motivating, and had me daydreaming about what my own version of that could look like.
After MONTHS of “Should I? Shouldn’t I?” I became a CCA student myself. Even with a background in marketing, the course gave me the structure, clarity, and confidence I didn’t know I was missing.
Fast-forward to now, and I was asked to be a guest on the podcast that started it all.
Fangirl moment? 100%.
How One Big “No” Helped Me Start My Business
My story started with a bold move. I proposed a copywriting position to my company that did even exist, but I saw the gap and went for it.
They said no.
But that “no” turned into something even better, and what started as a side gig eventually became the main thing.
On the podcast, I talk about:
Why I couldn’t wait for permission to pivot
What I’ve learned from my other marketing experience and copywriting
How I built a business that supports both my creativity and my life
Besides being starstruck by Nicki and Kate (I'm telling you guys...I'm a huge fan), having the chance to share my story on the podcast was beyond rewarding. It gave me the space to reflect on how far I’ve come, what I’ve learned, and what it really took to get here.

PS--You probably noticed the header on this blog says "Filthy Rich Writer". I can confirm...it's not a scam. Founder, Nicki Krawczyk, explains why she chose that name. It makes some folks cringe, so thought I'd pass this along :-) .
